How did you first get started in your craft?
I've been painting and drawing since I was very young, but it wasn't until the past 5 years or so that I've been selling my art.
What’s the most challenging part of being an artist, or something you had to overcome?
Comparison. As a young artist, it's very difficult to keep from comparing my work to people around me who are possibly more professional or successful with their art or small business. I really enjoy what I create, and I enjoy the process of creating it, but oftentimes I can get in my own way by overthinking and comparing my progress to those around me.
How can people be supportive of the arts?
Commission local artists instead of buying art and decor from large retail stores.
Favorite place in Everett to eat?
Oshima Sushi and Cafe Wylde.
Favorite place in Everett to hang?
The Loft Coffee Bar, I've spent quite a bit of time there drawing.
