The FIFA World Cup is officially on our doorstep — and Everett isn't just watching from the sidelines.

The City of Everett has been named one of Washington state's nine official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zones, and that means Boxcar Park at Waterfront Place is about to become the place to be this June. Four free, all-ages Waterfront Watch Parties are happening on June 11, 12, 18, and 19 — and if you haven't been paying attention, it's time to start.

Here's everything you need to know before you go.

What to Expect

Fans can enjoy live match broadcasts on a giant screen alongside music, rotating food trucks, a beer garden, free Kids' Zone activities and more — all with panoramic views of Port Gardner Bay and the Olympic Mountains as your backdrop. It doesn't get more Everett than that.

Watch Parties will open two hours before kickoff and continue two hours after each match concludes. Come early and make a full day of it. And for the noon matches, stick around — Waterfront Watch Parties for noon matches will also feature a foam party at the end of the game.

The Full Schedule

Thursday, June 11 — Mexico vs. South Africa (opening match of the tournament) Fan Zone opens 10 a.m. | Match kicks off at noon

Friday, June 12 — USA vs. Paraguay Fan Zone opens 4 p.m. | Match kicks off at 6 p.m.

Thursday, June 18 — Mexico vs. South Korea Fan Zone opens 4 p.m. | Match kicks off at 6 p.m.

Friday, June 19 — USA vs. Australia Fan Zone opens 10 a.m. | Match kicks off at noon

Food Trucks

Each Watch Party features a rotating lineup of up to 10 local food vendors. Here's what's on tap for the first two events:

Thursday, June 11 Anthony's Finn · Dick's Drive-In · GoodBelly · Kona Ice · MI Espresso · Ryan's REZ-ipes · Tapped Public House

Friday, June 12 Anthony's Finn · GoodBelly · Kona Ice · MI Espresso · Ryan's REZ-ipes · Smokin' Dough · Sweet Wheels · Tacos Pirata · Tapped Public House

For the Kids

The free Kids' Zone will feature soccer-themed games like soccer drills and 1-on-1 soccer matches, face painting, a mobile video game trailer, aqua paddlers and more. Imagine Children's Museum will be at Boxcar Park each Watch Party day for cultural and educational programming celebrating the day's playing teams — from games to crafts to dance and more.

Getting There

Skip the parking headache. Everett Transit is running a free shuttle from downtown Everett and Everett Station, with convenient stops and frequent service before and after each match. Shuttle stops include Everett Station (3201 Smith Ave) and Everpark Garage in downtown Everett (2815 Hoyt Ave).

The Tulalip Tribes, one of the sponsors of the Everett Fan Zone Waterfront Watch Parties, is also offering a free shuttle from Tulalip Resort Casino, running approximately every 30 minutes and dropping fans off at the Fishermen's Tribute statue at Waterfront Place.

Know Before You Go

Clear plastic or vinyl bags no larger than 12"x6"x12" are encouraged for faster entry. Attendees are permitted to bring low-profile, folding lawn or beach chairs for use in designated viewing areas. Each attendee is also allowed to bring one small cooler — hard or soft-sided — measuring 9-12 quarts in capacity.

Beyond the Match

The Fan Zone is just one piece of the bigger picture. The Port of Everett is bringing soccer spirit to Waterfront Place all month long with "Pathway to the Pitch," a monthlong series of community events, family activities, themed promotions and public art installations — including the Soccer Drink Bingoal at waterfront restaurants, a Soccer Float Find, and a Waterfront Place Open House on June 25.

Everett's waterfront restaurants, shops, trails, and marina are all within easy walking distance of Boxcar Park — so plan to explore before and after the match.

This is Everett on the world stage. Come be part of it.
