10 Reasons to Visit Everett Mall

If you haven't been to the Everett Mall lately, it might be time to check it out.

I think everyone has an opinion about the mall whether it is framed in disappointment about what it has become, how it’s not meeting its potential, or even its effects on downtown commerce from long ago.

Things have been happening, though. Not as in Starcourt Mall happening, but there’s a lot of local businesses and fun things to do at the Everett Mall these days.

Don’t believe me that Everett Mall is the place to be? Here’s 10 cool reasons for a visit:

1. Midnight Cookie Co. just relocated to the mall from Everett’s Coolest Strip Mall at 607 Marketplace which has been struggling with turnover during the pandemic.

2. My most favorite thing at Everett Mall is Wishes, a local store with toys way better than you found across the street at Toys R Us when they were still open.

3. Imagine Children’s Museum has started hosting Little Science Lab at the mall. Every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. parents and caregivers can take their preschoolers to this fun, free event that focuses on building science and math skills.

4. There’s Crafty B’s Artisan Boutique full of unique locally made items for sale. With all the talk of supply chain shortages, they will be a good bet for some great holiday gift shopping.

5. Crafty B’s auxiliary location in the mall, cleverly named The Beehive, is used for regular pop-up events and classes (update, it appears this particular location may be closed now, but they’re still doing events in the local area). I recently took a great Kintsugi class at The Beehive from The Painter, the Potter and The Puppeteer.

6. Crafters and animal lovers will like Paws with Cause where you can support local shelter animals by either painting or purchasing a pet portrait.

7. There’s tons of stuff to do with the kids including Crazy Jumpers indoor bungee jumping for all ages and Happy Riders electric animal cars for kids. LA Mini’s offers mini cars for kids to drive through the mall. You can buy fun treats like gumballs, dippin’ dots or get your picture taken in the Marvel Adventure Lab.

8. Play Mario Kart DX and even air hockey at the arcade that is way better than anything I can ever remember being there. Phantom Zone Comics is in the mall too and sometimes big comics shows are held with free comic giveaways.

9. And don’t forget the free play space for kids located in front of Wishes. Small and simple, but great for a rainy day.

10. Everett Mall might be a good place to get some errands done under one roof. After a stop at Everett Watch and Jewelry repair and Laura’s Alterations, reward your productivity with a massage at locally owned Massage Envy.
