Lonnie Dalrymple, Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, former board member, and congregant of Everett Unity will be teaching a weekly  Mindfulness Meditation class. Your generous love offering is gratefully accepted.

DATE: Every Wednesdays
TIME: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Church Social Hall

We will discuss the proven benefits of a mindfulness practice and learn the basic structure of Mindfulness Meditation. You will learn how to practice Mindfulness Meditation while sitting and walking. If you can make it to more than one class, you will have the opportunity to discuss how the previous week of practice went, share in supporting and cheering for each other and their progress through this experience. We will continue to add to the information each week so you will have a good foundation for your own practice and growth.

About the instructor.   I have been a member of Unity in Everett for at least 20 years. In October of 2021 I began an intensive five-month training to become a certified Mindfulness meditation instructor. Like many, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation has long been an interest of mine. I have done quite a bit of self-study. So, I had some threads of knowledge.  I needed a foundation to build my personal practice on and the training I received in this class gave me all that and more.

It was an amazing experience to be immersed with other students from around the world, and teachers who are well known to Mindfulness practitioners. Now I know what techniques Brain Scientists and Psychologists (and others who study the effects of Mindfulness Meditation) are talking about when instructing a group of subjects to practice  Mindfulness meditation for 30 days, etc. so they can measure the effects of the practice on our emotions, our mental health and our happiness.

Lunch & Learn - Everett by the Numbers

Everett may be known for aerospace—but another industry is laying the groundwork for what’s next.
Construction and specialty trades now account for more than a quarter of all licensed businesses in the city, quietly powering Everett’s evolution from the ground up.
At the upcoming Brain Food Lunch & Learn, Chamber CEO Wendy Poischbeg will unpack new business license data to reveal a broader, more nuanced picture of Everett’s economy—and where growth is accelerating.
This session will explore key industry trends, uncover gaps in the local market, and offer fresh insights into how trades, service providers, and small businesses can seize new opportunities. Whether you’re a contractor, supplier, entrepreneur, or work in a complementary field, this is your chance to see where Everett is headed—and where your business fits into the blueprint.

Walk with us! at Garfield Park

We're proud to announce a Spring fundraiser, 'Walk with us!' at Garfield Park. Why walk with us?? Every step you take helps support individuals on their journey of recovery from addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. Let's walk together for hope, healing, and community.

How can you help? You can sponsor a walker (a certain $ amount per lap). You could walk and get someone to sponsor you. Or you can join our '25 to Thrive movement, using the link below.

'Walk with us!' will be on Saturday, May 17 from 10am - 12pm at Garfield Park (2300 Walnut St. Everett).

All ages are welcome to walk. Water and snacks will be provided.
