Monte Cristo Awards Honor Everett’s Finest Properties

Community members are invited to celebrate neighborhood pride and honor local homeowners and business owners for their efforts to beautify Everett at the 25th annual Monte Cristo awards ceremony. The ceremony will be held Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Historic Everett Theatre.

Garret Hunt and Tyler Chism, co-founders of Live in Everett, will host the event and Mayor Cassie Franklin will present awards.

The Great Washington ShakeOut

Millions of people worldwide participate in this annual earthquake and tsunami drill to build muscle memory to Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:17 a.m. on Oct.  17.

This is a FREE event, where you practice at home, school or work. Drop, cover and hold on for a minute, then do one more thing like build an emergency kit and talk to family about what to do after a disaster.

Feel free to take a picture of you, friends and family under a desk or table and use #ShakeOut on social media.

Global Climate Strike! "Die In" SnohCo AdminBldg+Other Locations

The Die-In is a peaceful direct action hosted by 350 Everett to answer the call of the striking students, led internationally by Greta Thunberg, and take action to bring attention to the climate crisis. The action at the County Administration Building will be 11 minutes long to highlight that scientists believe we have only 11 years to effectively address and stop the climate crisis. We recognize that climate change should be declared a climate emergency. These students are the last generation that can take action to thwart climate change! We support the students’ Global Climate Strike on September 20th.

A Night to Remember - A Time to Act

Join us for "A Night to Remember, A Time to Act." This is the third annual event to bring awareness to overdoses and addiction in Snohomish County.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and there will be an indoor resource fair from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your questions and talk with some of the experts at the fair.

At 7:30 p.m., the program moves to the plaza for speakers and a candlelight vigil. You are invited to bring photos (5x7 or similar) of loved ones who have overdosed or otherwise were/are impacted by addiction.

The Delta Neighborhood Association is partnering with Seattle Shakespeare and Everett Improv for this fun summer event. The fun begins as attendees don free mustache disguises. Everett Improv starts off at 5:30 with silly Shakespeare Improv built on suggestions from the audience.The main event begins at 6 pm as Seattle Shakespeare presents Twelfth Night. Free snacks served at intermission! Free prize drawings include Aquasox tickets, a class at Everett Improv and more. Bring a blanket and a picnic and join us in the park!
