GEEKFEST WEST GAME EXPO: Everything Geek™

GeekFest West Game Expo is a three-day extravaganza of fun and entertainment that takes place yearly on the third weekend of July (July 19th, July 20th, and July 21st, 2024).

Event Times: Friday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm | Saturday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm | Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

*Early Entry at 9:00 am for VIP 3 Day Pass

Geeks are taking over downtown Everett! Specifically, they’re flocking to Angel of the Winds Arena in downtown Everett July 19-21 for Geekfest West, a celebration of all things geeky.

Imagined as a street festival reminiscent of events like Woodstock or Burning Man for the pop culturally inclined, Geekfest will spread itself across the downtown area from the Historic Everett Theatre to Hewitt Avenue to Angel of the Winds Arena to nearby hotels and club spots. Where in Everett can you catch a Burlesque Show after visiting a Comedy Improv, all while eating some great food and drinks from our food trucks?

Geekfest will feature an exhibitor’s hall and street fair with 120 plus vendors, a food festival, live Geek music, a live wrestling ring on Hewitt, and Comedy shows featuring over 20 top acts from NY, California, and even our own back door, headlined by Shayne Smith.
Are you interested in, a cosplay celebration, or Star Trek the Next Generation Musical, excusive props to you favorite SYFI shows, video game tournaments, card tournaments how about a film festival with over 36 hours of independent films to watch? If you said yes, There is bound to be something to enjoy for every kind of nerd or geek.

What separates Geekfest West from other conventions? Is that it is not a convention, it is a festival of Everything Geek™ by locals, for locals. This is a different experience. Instead of just going to buy stuff, you’ll interact. You’ll play games with others, see a free comedy show during the day, and check out the cosplay contest. Or stay for the AfterDark items after the main show is over.
“Many artists have been pushed out of larger cons; we’ve worked with local artists instead of going for big celebrities. A lot of our sponsors are local, and we take a lot of pride in that fact.” said GeekFest Organizers.

Geekfest West will host one of the largest gatherings of Magic the Gathering artists in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout the day, multiple surprises will be available, from potential flash mob dances to special exhibits curated by the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. What you experience will be different and unlike anything you have seen before.
