After the release of her feature documentary, Verona: The Story of the Everett Massacre in 2017, filmmaker Denise Ohio continued learning more about the shoot-out at the Everett City Dock on November 5, 1916. In her new project, the “Annotated Everett Massacre,” Ohio shares what she’s discovered, including new info from the transcript of the trial of IWW Tom Tracy, defense investigator notes, biographical details about participants from archives around the country, and more. Join us to explore how this new material sheds light on why those aboard the Verona and those on the City Dock found themselves in a gunfight.

Join Historic Everett and historian Gene Fosheim as we visit the early history of this remarkable cemetery. He’ll start with a 30-minute presentation about the lives of some of Everett’s most influential people and share stories of Everett’s rich heritage. Immediately after, everyone will be invited to do a short guided tour of the old section of the cemetery beginning at the Lych Gate with a walk up the hill to Rucker’s Tomb. Join State Architectural Historian, Michael Houser on a virtual discovery of the rich residential architecture of Everett and the surrounding communities.
