Lace up for a good cause: the Snohomish PUD Community Energy Run 5K takes over the PUD Water Operations Center in Lake Stevens on Saturday morning, October 3. Run it, walk it, or just swing by — the morning brings sponsor booths, live demos from the PUD Water Utility, and a virtual option if you’d rather log your 5K from anywhere. Registration is $40 per person (price goes up September 1), and every entry benefits the Community Energy Fund, which helps Snohomish County and Camano Island families struggling to pay their utility bills. Runners and walkers welcome, 9 a.m. to noon.
