The Everett Fire Department is offering 3 fire extinguisher training classes. There is no cost. The training is one hour long, 30 minutes of lecture followed by 30 minutes of hands-on, live fire training.

The documentary Resilience reveals, toxic stress can wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children, putting them at greater risk for disease, homelessness, prison time, and early death. Resilience also chronicles the dawn of a movement that is determined to fight back.

Local author, Carole Dagg, will present a talk called "Daily Life in 1894" at 2:30 p.m. in the library activity room. Dagg is the author of the young adult novel, "The Year We Were Famous," based on the true story of her family's walk from Washington state to New York in 1896.
