Lonnie Dalrymple, Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, former board member, and congregant of Everett Unity will be teaching a weekly  Mindfulness Meditation class. Your generous love offering is gratefully accepted.

DATE: Every Wednesdays
TIME: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Church Social Hall

We will discuss the proven benefits of a mindfulness practice and learn the basic structure of Mindfulness Meditation. You will learn how to practice Mindfulness Meditation while sitting and walking. If you can make it to more than one class, you will have the opportunity to discuss how the previous week of practice went, share in supporting and cheering for each other and their progress through this experience. We will continue to add to the information each week so you will have a good foundation for your own practice and growth.

About the instructor.   I have been a member of Unity in Everett for at least 20 years. In October of 2021 I began an intensive five-month training to become a certified Mindfulness meditation instructor. Like many, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation has long been an interest of mine. I have done quite a bit of self-study. So, I had some threads of knowledge.  I needed a foundation to build my personal practice on and the training I received in this class gave me all that and more.

It was an amazing experience to be immersed with other students from around the world, and teachers who are well known to Mindfulness practitioners. Now I know what techniques Brain Scientists and Psychologists (and others who study the effects of Mindfulness Meditation) are talking about when instructing a group of subjects to practice  Mindfulness meditation for 30 days, etc. so they can measure the effects of the practice on our emotions, our mental health and our happiness.

Marina & Jetty Island Cleanup Day | 2025

Celebrate Earth Day with the Port of Everett by giving back to your waterfront! You’re invited to join us at the Port of Everett’s 31st annual Marina & Jetty Island Cleanup Day on April 19 from 9 a.m. – noon to help keep the Everett waterfront a clean and enjoyable place to visit.

Whether volunteering solo, with a group of friends, or as part of a larger organization, everyone is welcome to attend. Children are welcome to volunteer as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Last year 115+ volunteers picked up 960 pounds of litter across nearly 100 acres of waterfront and the Port’s 2-mile-long Jetty Island.

A BIG thank you to this year’s event sponsors, our “Green Guardian” sponsor at Herrera Environmental Consultants and our “Waste Warrior” sponsors, Greenpoint Technologies, Shannon & Wilson, Haley & Aldrich, and Tenhulzen Painting & Construction Partners.

Event Details

The event takes place outdoors, rain or shine. Volunteers will meet at the Fishermen’s Tribute Plaza (across from Bluewater Organic Distilling) beginning at 9 a.m.

Limited transportation to and from Jetty Island will be provided by the Port and Everett Community College’s Ocean Research College Academy on a first-come, first-served basis for those interested in heading out to this Puget Sound gem.

Snacks and supplies like gloves, trash bags, and litter pickers will be provided for volunteers.

While signing up is not required, it does help us plan. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up at portofeverett.com/marinacleanup

There are sponsorship opportunities available for this event! Go to portofeverett.com/marinacleanup to learn more.

The Dance School: I LOVE TO DANCE

The Dance School: I LOVE TO DANCE

I Love To Dance I: 5:00pm

I Love To Dance II: 7:00pm

Tickets: $15 (purchase of one ticket is valid for admission into both shows)

Venue: Historic Everett Theater (2911 Colby Ave, Everett, WA 98201)

Parking: There is plenty of street parking around the venue. We recommend arriving early for those requiring closer proximity parking to the venue.

Join us for our annual student showcase featuring original choreography by current TDS students. This unique performance gives our students the role of choreographer to select a song, costume and create an original routine to perform for the community. This year’s performance is sponsored, in part, by a grant from the City of Everett.

Video/Pictures

The Dance School hires a professional photographer/videographer for all of our performances. Pictures and recordings of the performance will be available to all performers after the show.

There will be no video recording or photography allowed during our performances, this includes no cellphone use. This is distracting to others in our audience who are trying to watch their dancers perform on stage.
