Downtown Everett clears the streets and turns the whole neighborhood into a party, and Saturday is the full eight-hour version. Summer in the City takes over Wetmore Plaza and the surrounding blocks with live music from KateGory 7, Aftershock NW, Butter Notes Jazz and more, plus art, sidewalk sales, a beer garden, and a kid zone stacked with inflatables, giant Jenga, face painting, a balloon artist, and a Nerf blaster range. Bring the kids, text your friends, or make it a date night and wander until you find your new favorite downtown spot. Saturday runs noon-8 p.m., and it all lines up with Fresh Paint at Schack Art Center, so there is an extra dose of creativity happening a few blocks over. Come for one thing, stay for it all.
