No need to panic, but Mother’s Day is this Sunday (May 12th). And for those of you that have mothers who live nearby, that means brunch and cards and flowers and everything else you’ve got.

Breakfast & Brunch

Lombardi’s Italian

With a unique Mother’s Day menu with items like Crab & Shrimp Cakes and a Limoncello Tiramisu for dessert, there’s no doubt your mom will feel special. Especially because you remembered to make reservations (yeah, do that now).

Buck’s American Cafe

A staple in the Riverside neighborhood, Buck’s serves brunch every Sunday at starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Go the traditional route with some Eggs Benedict, or try a sweety Monte Cristo, both of which will not rob your wallet.

They do take reservations, so book a spot now.

Whether you want eggs, waffles, or a fish-filled delight, Anthony’s brunch menu (served every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) has plenty of options to fit everyone’s taste. They also have a wide variety of drink options, including $6 mimosas and $6 bloody marys.

Bluewater Organic Distilling

On Mother’s Day, anytime of day is a good day to grab a refreshing drink at Bluewater. While they don’t serve breakfast food, their cocktails knock any ol’ mimosa out of the water. If you’re looking for a nice meal, their monthly specials are worth the price tag.
