Everett's Best Bets for Entertaining Out-of-Towners

When friends and family come to visit, they don't just want to see you; they want to see how you live. Take them to your favorite restaurants and shops, and while you're at it, stop by some of the tourist spots you probably take for granted.

YOU KNOW YOU'LL END UP THERE

You've probably been to Funko many times whether or not you're a collector and you'll probably go whenever a new guest visits from now on. It's our new famous landmark, after all. Feeling Funko'd out? Let your guests shop while you wait with coffee at Karl's next door or something stiffer down the street at Tony V's Garage.

MAKE SOME FLIGHT PLANS

The world's largest building by volume is the Boeing Everett Plant, and the tour available from the Boeing Future of Flight Museum is fascinating even if you aren't an aviation enthusiast. Catch the exhibits and gift shops before continuing to the Museum of Flight Restoration Center and the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum. Can't get enough? Take a docent-led tour at Mukilteo's Historic Flight Foundation, where members can take a ride in one of the historic planes.

SEE GREAT ART, OR MAKE SOME

While Everett doesn't have an art museum, there are plenty of exhibits to see. Check out what's on at Schack Art Center and, with a little planning, take a class there. Visit our great dedicated galleries Black Lab and Zamarama, and find art for sale in local businesses like Port Gardner Bay Winery, Bean and Vine, and Soundbite Cider. Inspired to make your own art? JAG ArtWorks has the supplies.

BEST BETS FOR FOOD

You'll definitely need to eat after running around all day. For waterfront dining, check out classics like Emory's or Anthony's, or our newest option, Jetty Bar & Grille. Find incredible pan-Asian options at Terracotta Red and pan-Latin ones at Sol Food. For a formal option, try steak or seafood at Abbott's. Need something family-friendly? Hit Bob's Burgers and Brew, Giorgio's Pizza and Spaghetti House, or Shawn O'Donnell's
