Chops: Fusion Flavors to Blow Your Mind

There’s an amazing restaurant you may not know about because it’s off the beaten path in a little food oasis of sorts at Hardeson and 75th in southwest Everett. There’s a ton of restaurants in the complex that was presumably planned for Boeing workers. The parking lot is packed at lunchtime, but it is worth the struggle because you’ll find an Asian fusion restaurant called Chops* there.

Back in 2018, Garret and Tyler ordered Chops to do a Live in Everett TV shoot. I wasn’t able to be there that day, but after seeing Garret’s Asian fusion wrap with noodles, I knew I had to try it out. If you don’t know, I love noodles

I looked up the definition of Asian fusion and it boils down to all the best culinary techniques, flavors and textures from various Asian cultures - combined to make something spectacular. 

My husband and I both ordered wraps for lunch the following weekend and we ate every single bite. We were so full we had to take a nap. Then we skipped dinner. 

I go to Chops regularly now. They serve appetizers, Korean rice dishes and Fusion Rittos which are intense flavors and textures wrapped in a flour tortilla.

My favorite wrap from Chops is their Loco Soba. It has sweet Korean BBQ beef, yakisoba noodles, rice, cheese, cabbage, slaw, chili sauce and a side of lime. Can you even imagine what all those flavors taste like together? It’s eyes-roll-into-the-back-of-your-head-good. 

It turns out that I can’t even eat half of the wrap. I’ve tried. It’s a ton of food weighing in at almost 2 pounds. So now when I bring it home I cut it into 3 portions, eat one and the rest goes into the refrigerator right away so I’m not tempted. 

The next morning I put a little oil in a pan and gently fry each side. The cheese in it keeps everything together and it makes an amazing crust. Sometimes I’ll add a little water to the pan and cover it with a lid to get it heated all the way inside. The third portion is breakfast the next day.

My son loves Chops potstickers. They’ve always been perfectly cooked and the wrappers aren’t dried out like at some other places. The egg rolls are pretty darn good too. My husband enjoys the Bulgo Riitto with sweet Korean BBQ beef, rice, mixed salad, basil and cilantro.  

Head to Chops for fusion flavors that will blow your mind. Plan to split your meal with a loved one or just have leftovers for days.
