Best of 2020: Top 10 Blog Posts of the Year

Oh, what a year! It's tempting to roll forward and not look back at a year some describe as a dumpster fire. But we had some good things happening on the Live in Everett blog and it’s worth spending time to reflect with gratitude and maybe look for lessons learned. Here are my takeaways from the Top 10 blog posts of 2020.

You really like houses, Everett

Four of the top 10 spots were about Everett homes. Our article about This Mansion in Everett is Looking for a Home took the top spot, followed by The House at Laurel Drive. Historic Masterpiece Ready for a Fresh Chapter: Rucker Mansion came in 6th and Everett’s Award-Winning, Instagram-Worthy Home rounded out the top 10.

Christmas lights never get old

Everett's Best Christmas Light Show: Irwin Family Lights landed in the number 3 spot. This article won the top spot in 2018, the year it was first published. It didn’t make the cut last year, but has landed as our top blog post ever!

South Everett has great food

The Best Chicken Sandwich in Everett? Very Likely! and Touba Bakery: New French Bakery in the South of Everett came in at 5th and 7th places respectively. These are both from my area of the city, Westmont-Holly, so I’m standing proud. If you have not picked up a chicken sandwich from Zoey’s, add it to your 2021 resolutions list. And the Best Donuts in Everett are… landed in 9th and I have to point out that tied for the best donut is Tyler’s Donuts, in the Holly neighborhood.

We support our neighbors

Both Zoey’s and Touba Bakery are Black-owned businesses and included in our Support Everett's Black-Owned Businesses post which landed in 4th place for 2020.

You should consider a Live in Everett Membership

Everett Startup Seeks Local Makers, a story about Abacus finishes out our top 10 blog posts of 2020, landing in 8th place. This article was sponsored through our Membership Program, as were three of the other top posts.
