There's a New Philly in Town

There are some tricky intersections around town. I've never once caught a green light at Pacific and Rucker. Careful coming around Silver Lake, that light at 112th sneaks up out of nowhere. And always be ready to spend a long time at 41st and Rucker, it stays red forever. But recently while waiting there, I spotted a new Philly cheese steak place about to open, so at least something good came out of my time there.

Signs are quite effective when they have a captive audience.

The menu is impressive and the garlic cheese fries were tempting, but went with plain fries to see what they're like on their own. Philly fans please note, Wiz is available, along with lots of other interesting toppings.

More than just sandwiches! Nachos, quesadillas, chicken nuggets, and cheese sticks. Something for everyone.

I was on the way back from a movie and eager to get home, so I got my order to go. The dining room's nice though, seating 22 without being crowded.

I've already seen someone on Facebook asking for another hot sauce, but Sri Racha and Frank's are a good start.

Once at home, I decided to wrap up half the sandwich for later, and wished I'd gone for the garlic cheese fries after all. The plain ones are fantastic, though. Just a bit crunchy on the outside and very airy inside. I chose the A4 (onions cheese steak) and loved the flavor. It's always nice when a place is brand new but the food is already on point.

Onions cheese steak and fries. Say what you will about styrofoam, at least it keeps everything nice and warm.
