Based on our most popular stories of 2021, we know you guys love houses. And since it’s still early in the new year, we figured we’d do a little recon on Everett’s most and least expensive home sales of 2021. So without further ado, let’s grab ourselves a slice of humble pie and kick things off with a little frugality.

Least Expensive

Determining Everett’s least expensive home of 2021 was actually a little tricky. First off, I decided to focus on homes, and not include this studio condo in downtown Everett that sold in March 2021 for $170,000 (Well, I guess I just did “include it,” but you know what I mean). I also did not include major fixer-uppers. I wanted to find the most affordable home that was basically move-in ready.

This 1 bed 1 bath house seemed to fit the bill. Located in the Delta neighborhood, the 557 square foot home sold in July for $280,000. And while the small home sits on a tiny 1,300 sqft lot, the property actually looks very clean and cozy. With off-street parking, a skylight, and laundry room to boot! Compared to a lot of tiny houses, this place looks luxurious in its own right.

Most Expensive

Need a little more space to stretch out? How does 6 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and 7,500 square feet sound? This custom-built masterpiece sold in June 2021 for $3.5 million is located in the Boulevard of Bluffs neighborhood. Or as I recently heard it called, “Everet-teo,” due to its proximity to Mukilteo.

This half-acre lot perched above Edgewater Beach offers stunning views. Gated entry. Box beam ceilings. And fine finishes throughout. If luxury homes are your thing, this place just might fit your vibe.

Though of course, it’s already sold. So you’ll have to be a little patient until it comes back on the market. Perhaps you’re a little like the rest of us and might need a little more time to save up for that down payment anyways!

Wherever you make your home this year, no matter how expensive or small, we always hope Everett will simply be a place for us all. Happy living!
