Everett Holiday Happenings 2020

Though it will be different, this year’s holiday season is shaping up to look like a lot of fun. The City of Everett, Port of Everett and other organizations have put on their creativity hats and figured out how to make this most magical time of the year socially distanced and safe.

The greatest news is that Santa is coming to town and not just to downtown, but to your neighborhood! Check here to find out when he’ll be in your neck of the woods.

Holiday Lights

The City of Everett and Downtown Everett Association have decked the streets in downtown for a special Wintertide Lights experience. Bundle up, grab a warm beverage and get a little holiday shopping done bathed in the warm glow of holiday lights. Lights should be up around November 23

The Evergreen Arboretum will be magically transformed with holiday lights making it even more special for a holiday stroll. Lights turn on from dusk to 8 p.m daily starting December 1

Irwin Family Lights was pandemic-ready all these past years. Stay in your car and tune your radio to a set station to listen to holiday music synced with the holiday lights. Keep an eye on their social media page for their start date.

The Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach has morphed into a drive-thru event so you will need to reserve a time for your visit beforehand. Fresh, hot mini donuts and warm beverages will be available for purchase. The festivities start November 27

Bible Baptist Church will host Drive-Thru Trees of Christmas from December 3rd to 6th. Enjoy the story of Christmas from the comfort of your car. There will be interactive activities and refreshments.

The Port of Everett will host a virtual tree lighting on their website or social media December 5 at 4:30. Make sure to tune in for a message from Santa.

Find a socially distanced spot on the waterfront and enjoy the Mukilteo Yacht Club Lighted Boat Parade December 5 at 5:30 p.m.

Santa Photos

It appears that Santa will still be coming to town for photos. He’ll be splitting his time between Everett Santa Photos, Everett Santa Photos, the former considering themselves the “Original” and the Everett Mall. You will be required to make an appointment, which you should do now because fewer bookings will be allowed to give time to sanitize in between clients. If you don’t get an appointment with Santa, consider asking friends for recommendations on a local photographer for a family photo sans Santa.

Marine Toys for Tots has set up an Amazon Wish List for no contact shopping and cash donations are welcome.

Volunteers of America is looking for people to sponsor families for the holidays with gifts and/or a Christmas food basket.
