Everett's Best Thai Food Restaurant You've Never Heard of: Zab Thai

Zab Thai has been in South Everett for 20 years. Located right next to the Enseamada Cafe (across the street from BECU and the Rage Cage on 112th). Somehow Zab Thai managed to sneak under my radar.

Until now.

Stunning Interior // Garret Hunt

Recently, I had the pleasure of going there with a friend for lunch. As soon as I stepped inside, I was immediately struck by its stunning interior. The large-scale paintings and hand-painted murals on the walls were gorgeous. And the stone water feature near the entrance and overall decor only made the atmosphere more attractive.

My friend and I decided to share a pot of Jasmine tea, which was so yummy that I could have drank it all day. It was a perfect start to our meal.

We both ordered the lunch combos. I opted for the Massaman curry with pad thai and brown rice, while my friend chose the Panang curry, which also came with pad thai and rice.

My dish was amazing, and I was very happy I went with the tofu. The brown rice was cooked to perfection. I asked for three stars on the spice level, and it wasn’t quite as spicy as I was hoping. I saved some leftovers for the next day, and they tasted even better with a little more of the spice showing up.

My friend's Panang curry was equally impressive. They loved the brown rice, which was almost red and had a “lovely nutty flavor,” they remarked. The curry came in a bowl, with the rice and pad thai on the plate. I enjoyed it best with it all mixed together. Yum.

Zab Thai’s expansive menu offers plenty more to explore; from Crispy Basil Duck to Rack of Lamb, Chu-Chi Salmon, and more. You can also now order online for pickup if you want to grab food to go.

Zab Thai has been a staple in Everett for 20 years, and it's easy to see why. The food is authentic and delicious, and the atmosphere is remarkable.

Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or something new for date night, Zab Thai is worth a try.
