Pints and Pups: A Place for Dogs and Humans to Play

Tucked away on Evergreen Way in south Everett is a new kind of bar. A bar where humans can enjoy a beer (or cider) while their pups enjoy an indoor/outdoor dog park. Now you may ask, what happens when you combine beer-drinking adults, a bunch of adorable dogs, and a space with agility courses and toys galore?

A paw-some time!

Owners Melinda, Justin, and Geoff (and corgis Waffles and Gravy) were inspired by their shared love of craft beer and dogs to create Pints and Pups. And puns aside, they’ve created something truly unique in our community. Everett has an incredible selection of local breweries, many of which are very dog-friendly, but I can only think of one place where dogs have a space to run, play, and interact with each other, just like they would at an outdoor dog park while their humans enjoy a refreshing pint.

Upon entering the bar, you’re welcomed by a number of tables and chairs (to enjoy human food you can bring in) and a wide selection of local brews. According to Geoff, also an owner of Middleton Brewing, the owning trio was intentional in choosing options from places like Bellingham that weren’t as common in the area. After signing a liability form (stating your furry friend is vaccinated, healthy, and will be under supervision), and selecting your beverage of choice, you make your way to the park portion. There, you can remove your dog’s leash and let them run free (relatively-speaking).

Inside are toys, cozy beds, a hiding hole under the stairs, and a bench along the wall that humans and dogs can equally enjoy. Separated by a bay door is an outside space with both fake and real grass, more toys (including an oversized fire hydrant), and some tables for us humans to enjoy the sun. Throughout are baggies and rags to clean up any messes and readily available water for humans and dogs - really everything a person and pup could need.

With a variety of pricing and membership options, Pints and Pups is good for an afternoon with friends, a weekly hang-out spot, or a small event gathering. Speaking of events, there is a corgi meet-up on Saturday, May 14th where corgis get half-off admission and meet-ups planned for different breeds in the upcoming months.
