Well, not a boat exactly, but it does have a great water view.

This home has been on the market for 28 days (at the time of publishing this), and was originally listed for $900,000. Good news though, the price recently dropped to $869,999; saving you $30,000 and enough left over for a can of Coke.

What I dig:

  • The view: It's hard not to love a good view. Especially when its overlooking Everett's active waterfront.

  • It's custom: I'm a sucker for homes that are well thought out with a personal touch (like the vaulted ceiling in the living room with floor to ceiling windows).

  • Modern conveniences: I love the character of historic homes, but sometimes having things like a legit master bedroom (a really nice one at that) and attached garage can be pretty nice, too.

  • Versatile: The lower level has a second kitchen, two bedrooms, a rec room and bathroom. Basically an extra house... so in case you ever need some extra rental income, an awesome space to play, or an ideal space for guests, you've got options.

  • It's fancy: Did we mention the home theater, voice activated lighting, or surround sound throughout? This home packs the luxury punches.

What I don't dig:

The yard: there is some yard space, for sure, but personally wish there was a larger flat grassy area off the back deck overlooking the view as well.

The taxes: Currently at over $700/month, that's just part of the fun that comes with any luxury home.

Modern conveniences: Yeah I know I said I liked those above, but there's always a tension between the modern comforts and the genuine character of historic charm; especially in an area like Rucker Hill.
