Sketchy Everett Volume 18 - Cinema Under the Stars

I caught one of the last outdoor movies of the season at Thornton A. Sullivan Park at Silver Lake - Zootopia on the big screen!

"Cinema Under the Stars" is a weekly family event put on for free by the City of Everett during the height of summer. It was marvelous to see blanket after blanket filled with families and friends. 500...700 people? I'm so proud to call this my city, for all the free seasonal events alone, like these 'walk-in' movies, marina concerts and kids theatre. Life is feeling good, as summer turns to fall.

With school starting this week, and the weather noticeably cooler, it's about this time every year that I breathe a sigh of relief though. I can cozy up indoors, drink coffee and work off the summer high that is a hallmark of every Washingtonian. The outdoors is our living room...at least until Labor Day.
