Three Bold Works, One Exceptional Afternoon, The Everett Philharmonic in Concert!

  • Everett Civic Auditorium 2415 Colby Ave Everett, WA, 98201 United States (map)

Join the Everett Philharmonic in the opening concert of its history-making season. The first of three candidates hoping to take over the mantle of music director will ascend the podium for one concert only.

Guest Conductor William White will lead an afternoon of electrifying contrasts and rich musical storytelling. This powerful program blends American edge, virtuosic flair, and timeless Romanticism into one unforgettable concert.

We open with Samuel Barber’s Overture to The School for Scandal – a dazzling, high-energy piece full of wit and orchestral sparkle.

Next, acclaimed violinist Maria Sampen takes the stage for Everett High School alumnus William Bolcom’s Concerto in D for Violin, a genre-bending work that fuses classical tradition with jazz, blues, and fiery rhythms. Sampen’s artistry and presence promises a performance you won’t want to miss.

The afternoon concludes with the lush beauty and emotional depth of Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. From noble themes to intimate moments, Brahms’ genius shines in every moment.
