Snohomish writer, photographer, and designer Warner Blake reveals how he rediscovered Snohomish's J.S. White Building, which had been misidentified for nearly fifty years.

Warner Blake pored over editions of the Snohomish Eye newspaper from the 1890s, issues of the Snohomish County Tribune, and public records in proving that what had been known for years as the Princess Theatre Building was really a creation of Snohomish's premier early architect.

Blake is author of "Early Snohomish" and "J.S. White, Our First Architect", written in collaboration with photographer Otto Gruele. From 2008-2010 he was president of the Snohomish Historical Society. For years he wrote "Snohomish: Then and Now", a monthly feature in the Snohomish County Tribune. He also produced the "Soup Talks Trilogy" for the Henson International Festival of Puppet Theater in 1996, and has produced several documentary films.
