Everett Real Estate Market Update: May 2017

Hey-o. Happy May...oh... May? How did that happen?

2017 is cruising right along, just like the Everett real estate market. Let's see how things are going and take a look at this last month's numbers*, April 2017:

For comparison, let's glance at the previous month, March 2017:

Have you been hearing about real estate a lot in the news lately? Now you know why. Over a single month, average prices jumped over $20,000 and average days on market went down by over 20%. Inventory is tight, and buyers are fighting over the few available homes on the market. It's prime time to be a seller – for sure. If you're a buyer, and you're feeling really discouraged – hang in there.

For broader perspective, lets take a look at last years numbers, April 2016:

Last year's numbers look much more similar to March 2017 than they do to April 2017. Things have surged quick this year, and there aren't many signs of slowing down. If you're looking to buy or sell, make sure you're working with an agent you can count on.

If you're buying, ask how your agent can help you be competitive in a multiple-offer situation. If you're selling, see if your agent has ideas on how to maximize sale price. If you need an agent, we can help and we have the systems to help you be successful. Okay, shameless plug is over.
