4 Tips For Selling Your Home In This Crazy Hot Market šŸ”„šŸ”šŸ”„

Have you heard the real estate market is on fire? šŸ”„

Well it is.

Seriously. It kind of sucks to be a buyer right now. But it is good news if you're a seller.

Here are a four tips if you're thinking about sticking a "For Sale" sign in your yard.

1. Clean it up.
Think clean and minimal. You don't need to update every single thing. Buyers are simply desperate for houses right now (sorry buyers!). Get rid of the clutter, the family photos, etc. Make sure everything is in good working order and that there aren't any funky smells. Your agent can advise you on what specific repairs/updates to prioritize (if any).

2. Make 'em wait.
Once your home goes on market, wait around a week to review offers. Why? Because it's typically going to yield the highest and best offers by creating a (healthy) bidding competition. Also, this gives everyone time to see the home and get their financing in order. If someone needs more than 3-7 days to get their offer together, they probably weren't very serious to begin with.

3. Be ready to move.
Homes are selling fast šŸš€. From the day your house goes on the market, you might have to be out within a month or so. So be ready and know where you're heading to next. Or, if you need more time, you can always let the buyers know that you need a longer close date or a temporary rent-back ā€“ sellers do have the upper hand now.

4. Use an agent you trust.
When it comes to presenting your home online, images are the name of the game. Choose an experienced agent who can have your homes photos and videos looking top notch. Your agent will also help advise you on:

  • Repairs
  • Pricing strategy
  • Offer review deadline
  • Navigating multiple offers (understanding and weighing out all the various terms)
  • Talking you off the ledge
  • Finding you a new place to live

So, you ready for this? Let's do all these buyers a favor and get your house on the market šŸ˜‰
