EVERETT, WA – Enjoy the glittering sounds of multiple mandolins on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.! Join the fun in the Main Library reading room, 2702 Hoyt Ave. This year’s holiday concert from the Seattle Mandolin Orchestra will include classic favorites and new arrangements for Christmas and Hannukah, with music from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
The Seattle Mandolin Orchestra is composed of more than 20 players who possess a vast library of music knowledge from decades of performing together. The orchestra exists to preserve, promote and extend America’s mandolin ensemble tradition. Featuring the entire mandolin family of instruments, including the mandolin, mandola, mandocello and mandobass, the orchestra is dedicated to revitalizing the mandolin ensemble and expanding its repertoire through commissions and arrangements. The repertoire encompasses baroque, classical, jazz and folk traditions.
