Write a Guest Post For the Blog - Submission Guidelines

Want to submit a piece for the blog?

Awesome!

We're happy to cover a wide array of subjects. From history to food, art, community, and more. If it's related to the good things happening in Everett, send it on over!*

Desired Criteria for Blog Articles:

  • 300 to 600 words.

  • Everett-centric + positive.

  • Provide information that’s valuable & interesting to the people of Everett.

  • At least one good quality landscape photo (3-9 images preferred).

  • Ensure any copy or photos you submit are owned by you or that you have obtained proper permission.

  • Written with a fun and authentic tone of voice. Experiential and inclusive. It's about creating delight and value for our readers. Not about you, sorry!

Submitting Your Guest Post:

  • If you want the post to be published a specific date, please submit it at least 2 weeks ahead of time.

  • When you submit the post, please include a headshot and brief bio (3 sentences or less).

  • Send the text of your post in a google doc. Attach any photos to that same email, and email it to: Contact@LiveInEverett.com

That’s it! Have fun. Be authentic. Bring value to the people of Everett. Plug your own stuff if it’s relevant. We’ll proof it and edit as needed.

Writing Tip - Consider Including a Number in the Title (Example)
Sometimes it can be helpful to have the post include a specific number of points (if it's relevant). Such as a "Top 5", or the "Best 3", or "7 Reasons To Eat At Such and Such." This helps the reader know what to expect and makes it easier for them to scan. It can also sometimes help with the writing process.

Email us if you have questions.

Cheers, ✌️
