Worth Leaving Town For: Altitude Trampoline Park

Altitude Trampoline Park in South Marysville has become a favorite hangout for my toddler and me. The trampoline park is huge with many different sections for various ages and skill levels. There’s the 7 and under section with an array of standard trampolines in the front and the 10 and over section with extra bouncy Olympic-style trampolines in the back, and everything in between.

Dodgeball. Basketball hoops. Ball pit. And more. All on trampolines!

There are plenty of seating areas, including massage chairs spread throughout (these cost extra). They sell food and drinks (think Icee’s and pizza). So you cannot bring your own food/drink in unless it's just water.

Altitude currently has a deal worth jumping on - a monthly membership for only $20. And that includes unlimited visits, for up to two hours per day!

A one-time visit can cost more than that ($24 for two hours), and with an over-energized toddler, I recently decided to sign up for the membership. Especially since Flying Squirrel Everett has been closed for renovations while they prepare to open their indoor space, I thought the timing to try out Altitude was perfect.

Big slides AND a ball pit! // Garret Hunt

I’ve probably been to Altitude Trampoline Park half a dozen times already, so here are some observations I’ve gleaned so far:

  • Their hours are generous. They almost always seem to be open.

  • Even if you get a membership, you’ll still need to check in upon arrival, but the line usually moves pretty quick.

  • Management is mellow, for better or worse. Okay, so the employees appear to be teenagers. So, you know… maybe keep expectations low. Masks aren’t enforced.
They’re definitely busier on weekends with more birthday parties going on, etc.

  • Prepare to tiptoe (especially when they’re busy). When walking in your jumping socks you may have to dodge spilled drinks around the seating area (thankfully no food or drinks are allowed in the jump areas).

  • Put shoes on if you need to walk into the bathroom. Again. Hopped up kids. Wet floors.

The assortment of obstacles really is fun for all ages. And certainly great exercise! There are some adults who get really into it, but it’s mostly kids jumping. And so far it's the abundance of kids that have caused my only safety concerns, i.e. running into one another. My toddler has had two collisions so far. I remember being taught “defensive driving” when I was a kid. Now I’m working on teaching my daughter “defensive jumping.”

The occasional accident aside, Altitude offers loads of fun. And being only 10 minutes from North Everett, it’s not too far from town.

The $20/month membership does cost $30 the first month to start to activate the membership. And either way, you will have to spend another few dollars on official “jumping socks” with rubber grips on the bottom. All in all, though, Altitude is a great place for indoor fun this winter. Perhaps even worth bouncing out of town for!
