Jeff Thompson, WSU Snohomish County Master Gardener, and low volume irrigation instructor at Edmonds Community College, will be presenting a 2-hour Drip Irrigation course covering design of a low volume irrigation system for the home gardener, including parts to use, where to get them, and most importantly, how not to waste resources by purchasing the wrong equipment.

The course is designed to make a novice comfortable with all aspects of designing and implementing a, low volume irrigation system for the home gardener. Particular needs of the participants will be addressed. There will be extensive use of visual aids and hands on experience with the installation of the various parts and equipment.

The instructor makes himself available at the class and later to answer individual questions.Each participant receives a 50+ page handout which will serve as a text and reference. Local and mail order suppliers are referenced as well. Course will be repeated four times, on two dates (once in the afternoon & once in the evening) to ensure a spot for everyone.

Cost: $20 per person or $30 for two people sharing materials.
