Get Serious About Being Funny: Everett Comedy College

Minute Reads_3 minute.png

Do you remember that one time comedian Cory Michaelis came on the Live in Everett Podcast and mentioned he was thinking of doing a stand up comedy class in Everett? Well it's finally happening!

I'm already signed up for the 5 part class kicking off April 10th. Wanna join? Details below stolen from the Everett Comedy College Facebook Event page. I've never done anything like this, so if you're a little scared, come be a little scared with me. Worst case if it's really embarrassing (which I'm assuming it will be) at least that'll give us something to laugh at.

Do you love stand up comedy? Have you ever thought "I need to try that!" when watching stand up? Have your friends told you you're funny? Are you an open mic comic looking to take it to the next level? If so, Everett Comedy College is for you.

While teaching someone to be funny is difficult, the techniques of stand up comedy can absolutely be taught, learned, and honed. In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of stand-up comedy, learn proper joke structure, learn what makes people laugh, create original material, practice in class with specific and individual feedback, and perform in front of a live audience.

Whether you're pursuing a passion, trying it once, or improving your presentation skills; this fun, supportive, and hands-on class will help you learn to speak in front of groups and fully develop or fine tune an original act ready for the stage.

Taught by professional stand up comedians, Everett Comedy College includes four class sessions and one wonderful live show in front of a supportive audience of your friends and family.
