YUM RUN FAQ/Fine Print:
What is the Yum Run?
The Yum run is deliciously fun 5k for the whole family! Participants run, walk and refuel at mile munch markers along the way. You may also find yourself wearing a giant hamburger, pizza, or hot dog on your head, taking selfies with your pals etc. After you burn and earn those calories, you’ll get first dibs in line at the Everett Food Truck Festival. All Yum Runners get early VIP access until 11:30 AM. Runners range from first-timers to seasoned competitors. Come join in on the yum!
What’s included with my registration?
Admission to Yum Run
Yum Run t-shirt award (guaranteed for early-bird registrants!)
Food Hat award (guaranteed if registered by July 7)
Early access to the Everett Food Truck Festival
Free Everett Merch (while supplies last)
Can a friend pick up my packet?
Yes! Just give them a copy of your registration receipt so we can verify the purchase.
Where can I pick up my packet and stuff?
On the day of the run, packets will be available for pickup at the information booth starting at 8:30 AM (2 hours before the run). Please be ready to provide your name and confirmation email either on your phone or a print out. All packets and merch for pre-registrants MUST be picked up by start time of the Yum Run. Unfortunately, we cannot mail items to you after the Yum Run. Any items that have not been claimed will be forfeited and donated.
Registering someone under 18?
When adding a registrant to your cart at checkout, you will see additional fields to complete to register a minor. Children 6 and under are free and do not require registration.
If my child is under 6, do they still need to be registered?
Great question! Little yummers 6 and under are free and do not need to be registered. Please keep in mind that since your child is not a paid registrant, they will not receive a race packet.
For safety reasons:
Headphones and personal listening devices are discouraged
We love dogs, but no pets on the race course, please. This is for safety and insurance reasons.
No bikes or alternative transportation methods are allowed during the Yum Run (unless it’s a stroller for kids (see below).
Are Baby Strollers or Wagons allowed?
Yep! Baby strollers and wagons for kiddos are allowed. We just ask that you start near the back or the sides at the start line to allow other runners a smooth start.
What else should I bring?
We suggest sunglasses, sunscreen, your finest running shoes, and your favorite foodie outfit (you just might win a prize!). Make sure you’re well hydrated. Otherwise, just your energy and an appetite! (please note- the mile munch markers will be small bites- so make sure you have enough energy to make it back to the food trucks at the end of the run!)
Is there a time limit for finishing the event?
Yes. Traffic control and Mile Munch Markers will be in place from 10:30-11:30 AM with a progressive opening as the course clears. All participants will need to maintain a 20-minute per-mile pace or will need to move to the sidewalks and follow standard rules of the road.
There will be no refunds issued for your registration, so please triple-check your calendar before signing up! However, you can transfer your registration to another participant as long as you notify us no later than 7 days before the event. Note, t-shirt size won’t be guaranteed for late registrants or transfer. To request a transfer, email Contact@LiveInEverett.com.
As stated in the waiver there are no refunds due to adverse weather. If weather or other unforeseeable conditions are deemed by the event organizers and/or City Officials to be potentially hazardous to participants, and staff, the organizers reserve the right to postpone the start time, change the route, change the date, or cancel the event outright. Cancellation of the event may take place either before the start of the event or at any time while the event is taking place.
During the registration process, I made a whoopsie… How do I fix this?
You can change your necessary registration details such as shirt size, address, phone, etc. with no additional cost. All the necessary edits need to be made by Aug 1 to ensure you get the right shirt size. Need an edit or have questions? Email us: Contact@LiveInEverett.com
