Spot Check: Plant Envy
Every couple of years, I like to pick up a few new plants to freshen up the selection in my wall planter from Vertical Gardens Northwest. This time seemed like a perfect opportunity to finally check out Plant Envy on Evergreen Way.
It's been in my neighborhood for a while now, first in a small office space two blocks south of their current strip mall spot at 4610 Evergreen. They quickly outgrew it, expanding into a second suite there and then finally moving to their current location.
Like a lot of us, owners Fahimah and Don Valdez moved to Everett from Seattle. "We are city people and wanted to stay there but the cost of living was beyond what we could afford," Fahimah explained. "When our dream home became available in Everett we moved and never regretted it. We love the life Everett has created for us. We love the atmosphere and the people."
I always ask people which restaurants and other places they love in Everett. Fahimah admits they're very busy with the shop but when they get out they love walks at the marina and Lowell Riverfront Trail, and eating at King Noodle and Tokyo House.
Whether you just moved in or have been here a while, some new plants can really freshen up your home. I was impressed with the variety and quality of the selection at Plant Envy, and there were several attractive planter options I hadn't seen before. Stop by soon and put a green spin on your space.
