Drive-thru Diedrich Espresso for a Double Shot of Delicious

Editor’s note: the following story is about one of our Live in Everett Members. Our awesome Members help power Live in Everett. You can learn more about them here.

While we're all staying safe at home, drive-throughs are a great way to get a change of scenery and something a little stronger than the drip coffee you've been brewing. New Live in Everett member Diedrich Espresso has three Everett locations, and I went by on a recent Saturday morning for some coffee and breakfast.

Still hopping, even on a Saturday // Christopher Bragg

The location at 20th and Broadway is my closest, and at first I wondered why there's another five blocks away. It made sense when I checked the map, though; with one on each side of the street, there's no need to make a left turn across heavy traffic, no matter which way you're headed.

There's more than what's on the menu. Check out those cups of donut holes! // Christopher Bragg

This is the first year I can remember that I didn't get Girl Scout cookies, so I ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie to bring home for later. The barista offered to heat it up, though, so I ate it in the car instead.

Back home, I enjoyed my first-ever Creamsicle drink, and I would love to know who invented it so I can send them a card. Creamsicle ice cream bars are a treat I don't indulge in often, and I've craved orange flavors like that constantly since I grew too old for flavored baby aspirin. Note that it's not an espresso drink, but it's cold and delicious, perfect for sunny days ahead.

With no dedicated bagel shop in Everett, I definitely appreciate being able to pick up a warm, chewy breakfast bagel like the ones Diedrich serves.
