5 Rad Things About Delta

Hello, nice to meet you, I’m Melissa Lee. My family and I just bought our first home here in the Delta Neighborhood. And man, are we loving it! We’ve been in Everett for a year. We moved here from Yakima Washington.

We have been referring to Everett as our “sweet treat” since we moved here on a whim and have been very happy with our decision. Everett has been a great landing spot for our family. We love so many things about it and our neighborhood. I’d love to share, if you’d allow me, my five favorite things about Delta.

Official seal of the Delta Neighborhood.

1. My neighbors are rad. This is for real. Our street has a good mix of people. We have young couples, single retired folks, grandparents, and a few married-with-no-kids couples. They have all been kind and welcoming. I feel grateful for all of them!

2. Walking is rad. We can walk to so much stuff; restaurants, parks, corner stores, produce stands, ice cream, the liquor store (ha! Cuz we got three kids, ya know we’re drinking during the week).

3. The scenery is rad. Everett is beautiful. Tree lined streets, magical sunsets, cool evenings on our back porch. Our street is lined with cherry blossom trees that are beautiful year round but especially in the spring when they bloom.

4. The food is rad. We have Taqueria Loma Bonita, Ruen Thai, and Pho on Broadway all walking distance from our house. Oh man!

5. Rad community. Everett is the perfect size in my opinion. It feels small and close but is diverse and has lots of cool, fun things to do. Our neighborhood is always full of people walking dogs or jogging, lots of kids riding bikes. I love the feeling of life here.

It was nice to meet you and I hope we run into each other!

Melissa Lee is loving crazy life with her family of 5, a cat and a big dog in 1000 sq ft in North Everett.
